Saturday Training Sessions

Roxbourne Park, Pinner, High Worple entrance

Suitable for all ages and abilities – complete beginners and children to experienced runners.
Meet from 08:50 at the Scout Hut or 09:00 beside the Children’s Playground.

Optional yoga/warm up stretches at 8.30 in the Scout hut.

Session lasts one hour with refreshments afterwards in the Scout Hut. Organisers: Ceri & Debra


Week 1 (of each month)

METROS 5K –  5 MILE HANDICAP  – 10 KM CHALLENGE  which rotate starting with 10K in Jan, 5k in Feb, 5 mile in March. The 10k Challenge results are age graded using the tables found here: Women age 7-45, Men age 7-45, Women age 46+, Men age 46+  The 5km age grading table can be found here.

Week 2

WOT NO WATCH is a mile run where you predict your time in advance then don’t use your watch. The winner is the person who most accurately predicts their time.  MEASURED MILE takes place every third month with an annual tropy awarded to the person who improves most over 3 consecutive events.

Week 3

For those who do not want to do parkrun, there is always a session a Roxbourne park.

Week 4 (& occasionally 5).

These weeks are an opportunity to take part in a session led by some of our trained coaches and/or most experienced members.  Most weeks there will be a challenging and moderate session to choose from.
